You know what’s one of the models I really recommend? The Oral-B Pro 7000 Electric Toothbrush! See this post for more info.

What are the main features of the Oral-B Pro 1000?

The Oral-B Pro 1000, as I already said, is one of the most loved and bestselling Electric Toothbrushes from Oral-B.

The main reason behind it is that this model provides you with an acceptable level of functionality, efficiency and automation and comfort at a price that is still very affordable. (Click here to read my full review of this model)

The main features of the Oral-B Pro 1000 might be summed up as follows:Image result for Oral B pro 1000 facts

  • 3D Brushing mode: The Oral-B Pro 1000 comes along with a single brushing mode just like the Vitality and Pro 500 (click here to check out how the Vitality and Pro 500 compare to one another) but the mode that the Pro 1000 offers is better because it has a 3D one, that is much more efficient.
  • 10 day Battery: The Oral-B Pro 1000 boasts of a battery that’s fairly long. Once fully charged it would work for 10 days considering an average use of about twice a day for 2 minutes each.
  • Pressure Sensor: The Oral-B Pro 1000 boasts of a pressure sensor but not a pressure indicator. It powers down the motor when it senses that you’re brushing too hard, but it does not really have a visual indicator for you.
  • Charging Indicator: The Oral-B Pro 1000 also comes along with a charging indicator-in fact, this is the most affordable model that provides you with this feature, making this a go-to model for a lot of people!
  • Pricing: The Oral-B Pro 1000 is just a little cheaper than the Oral-B Pro 500, and as such is still one of the highly affordable choices for you out there. (Click here to check out my comparison of the Pro 500 VS Pro 1000)

  • 5 cleaning modes: The Oral-B Pro 5000 certainly provides you with a fairly high level of functionality and efficiency and this becomes evident from the fact that this model provides you with 5 cleaning modes- the same as the Oral-B Pro 7000. (Click here to check out my review of the Oral-B Pro 7000)
  • Quadpacer: The Oral-B Pro 5000 comes along with a Quadpacer as well, that helps you ensure that you can give the same amount of brushing time to all four quarters of your teeth.
  • Charging and Pressure Indicator: The Oral-B Pro 5000 comes along with both of these features and you can easily be alerted when you’re applying too much pressure or when the model is not charging properly.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: One important thing about the Oral-B Pro 5000 is that it can be even more customizable if you connect it with Bluetooth to your smartphone. However, if you’re looking for a model that has a slightly lesser price but still provides you with this feature, consider the Oral-B Pro 3000. (Click here to check out my review of the Pro 3000)
  • Pricing: Since the Oral-B Pro 5000 is a mid-range model, it is also priced accordingly. While it isn’t as cheap as the Vitality or Pro 500, it’s still much cheaper than the Oral-B Genius 8000. So, it comes at a price that’s matched with the level of utility that it offers.

What are the differences between these two?

These two models, as you might have already noticed, have quite a few differences between them. While one of them is among the bestselling models, the other one is actually a perfectly mid-range model that provides you with quite a few notable features.

The main differences between these two models might be explained as:

  • Brushing modes: The Oral-B Pro 1000 comes along with only a single 3D brushing mode while the Oral-B Pro 5000 comes along with 5 brushing modes for you to choose from, giving you a much higher level of functionality and adaptability.
  • Pressure Indicator: The Oral-B Pro 1000 comes along with a pressure sensor that reduces the work of the motor when you apply too much pressure but it does not have a pressure indicator. The Oral-B Pro 5000, on the other hand, comes along with a pressure indicator as well.
  • Bluetooth Connectivity: The Oral-B  Pro 5000 has another feature over the Pro 1000- Bluetooth Connectivity. So, if this is something that you’re looking for, the Oral-B Pro 5000 is the better choice for you here.
  • Pricing: The Oral-B Pro 1000 is a much more affordable model because it’s much more basic compared to the Pro 5000, which is somewhere in the middle. So, if you’re looking for a model that’s economically more efficient, the Pro 1000 is the choice for you.

Conclusion

It is not hard to see that it’s easy to choose your model in this case if you keep in mind what you’re looking for.

The Oral-B Pro 5000 would be a better choice for you if you’re looking for a higher level of functionality and efficiency with a lot more overall features such as Bluetooth connectivity at a price that’s not low but justified.  (Click here to buy the Pro 5000 on Amazon)

The Oral-B Pro 1000 would be a better choice if you don’t want the added features and want to take a more economic route while not compromising on basic features such as the charging indicator which is missing in lower models. (Click here to buy the Pro 1000 on Amazon)
