What are the main features of the Oral-B Pro 500?

As I remarked earlier, the Oral-B Pro 500 is remarkably similar to the vitality models. As such, it is also one of the models that the people really love- in fact, it has a rating of about 4 and a half stars on amazon!

At any rate, here are the main features of the Oral-B Pro 500 that you need to know about:

  • One Cleaning Mode: Just like the Vitality mode, the Oral-B Pro 500 also provides you with only one cleaning mode- it provides you with a 2D one, oscillating from side to side at about 7600 rotations per minute.
  • The Quadpacer and 2 minute pro timer: Now, this model is the lowest priced model that provides you with an addition to the default 2 minute timer that comes built in for almost every electric toothbrush. This model actually overs you a 30-minute timer at the same time, known as the quadpacer. The main feature of this specific mode is that it gives you a small interval after every 30 minutes and then changes the brushing intensity as well as the sound it makes. This actually gives you a chance to organize your overall brushing a little bit more.
  • Brush-Heads: This model comes with only one precision-clean head. This is one of the main things people criticize this model for, that it doesn’t provide you with a few extra brush-heads at the beginning.
  • Variants: The Pro 500 also has two variants, these are the Original version and the special Gum-care version of the Pro 500. Both of them have similarly high ratings and are equally loved by their users.
  • Pricing: As remarked earlier, the Pro 500 is slightly more expensive than the Vitality models. However, it is still actually fairly affordable, priced between 34.99-39.99$, with occasional discounts when it costs downwards of 30$!

What are the main features of the Oral-B Pro 7000?

The Oral-B Pro 7000 is a pretty premium model in my opinion. This is a great model that provides you with quite a few features at a price tag that’s expensive but pretty justified given all that this model offers you with. (Click here to check out my full review of the Oral-B Pro 7000)

The main features of the Oral-B Pro 7000 are as follows:Related image

  • 6 cleaning modes to boast of: The Oral-B Pro 7000 boasts of six cleaning modes! This shows the level of functionality and adaptability that this model provides you with- truly a premium model in this sense.
  • Pressure Sensor and Quadpacer: This model, needless to say comes along with both these basic features. It comes along with both a pressure sensor and indicator as well as with a quadpacer that lets you customize your overall brushing experience.
  • Charging Indicator: The Pro 7000 comes with this basic feature as well, as you might have already guessed. In fact, all models starting from the Pro 1000 come with this feature (Click here to check out my review of the Pro 1000)
  • Perfectly Waterproof: A lot of people wonder if the Oral-B Pro 7000 is waterproof- and it actually is perfectly waterproof! Tooth Advocates has already prepared an article talking about this in specific- Click here to read it!
  • Bluetooth connectivity: The Oral-B Pro 7000 comes along with Bluetooth connectivity as well so that you can customize your brushing experience. However, if you’re looking for a cheaper model with Bluetooth and a high level of functionality, be sure to consider the Oral-B Pro 5000 (click here to read my review)
  • Expensive but reasonably so: This model is actually fairly expensive because it’s among the premium choices that you have. However, in light of all that this model offers you with, it isn’t really hard to see that this price is justified at the end of the day.

This is one of the models I personally recommend because of how amazing it really is. (Click here to check it out on Amazon!)

The Main Differences

As you might have already noticed, these two models are fairly different. Let us now discuss them one by one:

  • Modes: These two models have a different number of brushing modes. While the Pro 500 has only a single 2D mode, the Pro 7000 comes along with 6 modes.
  • Pressure Sensor: The Pro 7000 has a pressure indicator to visually alert you if you’re brushing too hard.
  • Charging indicator: The Pro 7000, naturally, boasts of this feature as well because it’s a premium model. However, like the Vitality, the Pro 500 doesn’t have this feature either. (The Vitality and Pro 500 sound pretty similar, don’t they? Well, click here to check out the differences between them!)
  • Bluetooth: The Oral-B Pro 500 does not have Bluetooth connectivity because it’s a pretty basic model. The Pro 7000, by comparison has this feature because it’s a much more advanced model.
  • Pricing: Pricing is obviously a major issue when it comes to the Pro 7000- it sure is pretty expensive. However, it is worth the price at the end of the day, that’s for certain.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I’d like to say that you need to know what you’re looking for. You need to keep in mind the exact needs that you want your device to fulfill and then find the right product based on that.

So, if you need something with a high level of functionality and are willing to pay a little extra to find a product that suits your needs, the Pro 7000 would be a great choice for you. (Click here to view it on Amazon)

On the other hand, if you want something much more affordable but better than the absolute the base model, the Pro 500 seems to be the more reasonable choice for you in this scenario. (Click here to view it on Amazon)
