July 12, 2019
In today’s article we are going to compare the Oral-B Pro 1000, which is slightly better than the base models from the Oral-B line of products and the Oral-B Pro 7000, which could be called the most affordable of the premium models from this line of products.
[How do you think these two would measure up to each other? Make sure that you read this article till the very end to find out!]
To sum up the entire article in one line, I would say that The Oral-B Pro 7000 is a much better choice from almost every direction if only you’re willing to pay a little bit extra. (Click here to view the price on Amazon)
What are the main features of the Oral-B Pro 1000?
The Oral-B Pro 1000 provides you with quite a few notable improvements over the Oral-B Vitality (please click here to check out our full review of this model.)
However, this model still has quite a few comparatively basic features, which is actually understandable given the extremely affordable price tag that this model comes along with. (Click here to read my full review of the Pro 1000)
The main features of the Oral-B Pro 1000 might be summed up as follows:
- 3D cleaning mode: The Oral-B Pro 1000 comes along with a single cleaning mode but it’s alright because it comes along with a 3D mode, which is substantially better than the 2D mode of the Oral-B Pro 500. (Click here to see my review of this model)
- 10 day battery life: The Oral-B Pro 1000 offers you a fairly long battery life- one of 10 days. So, you don’t have to worry about charging it again for quite a while!
- Charging Indicator: And even when you do have to charge it, you can always rely on the visual charging indicator to tell you if your model is charging properly or not!
- Pressure Sensor: The Oral-B Pro 1000 actually comes along with a pressure sensor that reduces the overall motor pressure when you’re brushing too hard, but it does not come along with a visual pressure indicator. If that’s something that you’re looking for, you need to go for at least the Oral-B Pro 3000. (Click here to see my full review of the Pro 3000)
- Pricing: As I said earlier, the Oral-B Pro 1000 actually comes at a very affordable price because it’s actually a slight improvement over the basic models and doesn’t have too many technical features added to it.
If this sounds like the level of functionality you need and if you’re looking for a great deal in terms of economy, click here to go view the Oral-B Pro 1000 on Amazon!

The Main differences between the two?
The main differences between the two are not really too hard to spot.
However, let us take a closer look at each of these differences one by one now:
- Brushing mode choice: The Oral-B Pro 1000 has only a single 3D brushing mode while the Pro 7000 boasts of six brushing modes to choose from. The Pro 7000 naturally has the lead in this specific case.
- Pressure Indicator: The Oral-B Pro 1000 comes along with a pressure sensor that reduces the power of the motor when you’re brushing too hard but it does not come with a pressure indicator. If that’s something that you’re looking for,the Pro 7000 seems to be the right choice for you here.
- Bluetooth connectivity: The Oral-B Pro 1000 does not have Bluetooth connectivity because it’s a fairly basic model. The Pro 7000, by comparison, is a much more premium choice which provides you with this feature as well.
- Pricing: Now, it comes as no surprise when you see that the Oral-B Pro 7000 is much more expensive than the Oral-B Pro 1000. Both of them do bear a reasonable price tag, though, and the 7000 is indeed a better choice if you’re fine with paying little extra to get a much better toothbrush.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I’d say that the Oral-B Pro 7000 is the better choice of the two here and should be the one for you to go for if you’re fine with the price. (Click here to view it on Amazon)
On the other hand, The Oral-B Pro 1000 is also a great model and is the right choice for you here if you’re looking for something that’s comparatively basic, or are just on a much more conservative budget. (Click here to view it on Amazon)
